We don’t want our client to spend a lot of time in Korbyt™. That may sound strange but it’s true! We believe in providing a CMS platform that is intuitive and easy to use so our clients can spend less time managing their digital signage or mobile app networks and focus instead on growing their business.
With that goal in mind, Korbyt 1.3 adds multiple enhancements to the Korbyt Content Management System that make content creation and administration easier, quicker and more scalable.
Like all our releases, the latest update adds new features for our existing customers and prospects, features for improved usability, platform performance improvements and bug fixes that make our enterprise platform even stronger.
With a new drag-and-drop content import feature, administrators can simply pull content files directly from their desktop into a Korbyt Layout and resize as necessary. This new feature dramatically increases the speed of content creation.
We also enhanced Korbyt’s social media integration capabilities with a new Social Media Element in the Layout Builder. This allows administrators to integrate content from Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter quickly and easily to create dynamic digital signage layouts with no coding skills.
The Korbyt Dashboard also received an update with a new card toggle feature that allows administrators to add or remove dashboard cards based on their preferences.
No need to set external reminders! Administrators benefit from a new content expiration notification feature that emails administrators before media content expires. Now just remember to fill out the content expiration fields (hmmm… maybe we should create a reminder for the reminder. A future feature perhaps…)!
Other platform improvements include the addition and consolidation of multiple platform-level features into a new settings page for administrators. We also improved Korbyt with better deep linking between scheduling and content objects to reduce clicks.
Two new data integrations with Avaya and Genesys contact center platforms provide customers the ability to integrate real-time contact center data into Korbyt-powered digital signage, mobile and desktop applications. A new Marriott CITY data integration allows Marriott hotel operators support for event management data on their digital signage. We also improved the performance of our JDBC data adaptor and our Salesforce.com data adaptor.
Our 1.3 release provides a new Korbyt player software for Philips and ELO Android-powered platforms, offering customers even more choices on the right hardware for their application. We also now support live TV with BrightSign players equipped with HDMI inputs. For our Chrome OS player, we have improved content caching and offline playback support to reduce network connectivity-triggered content interruptions.
Korbyt 1.3 also improves our scalability for enterprises with enhancements to our Azure AD integration and new support for Okta, enabling single sign-on routines.
For our KorbytGO Mobile, we add several new features to make it the “GO-to app” for enterprise employee communications. We updated the look and feel of KorbytGO with a redesign of the news feed cards, comments and likes features. KorbytGO now provides administrators more control over user-generated posts and comments and a new “report content” feature for end users. Administrators also benefit from a new GO-To mini app type that allows easy linking to single content files.
